Boiler Breakdown and Repair

from £75 (vat free)

Has your boiler stopped working?  No heating or hot water?

We work with a fantastic team of Gas Safe Registered Engineers who repair most makes and models of domestic and commercial gas boilers. They carry spare parts for the most popular makes or can source them quickly, ensuring your boiler is back up and running as soon as possible. Call us on 01635 226393 and we will arrange for an engineer to get to you just as soon as we can.

Boiler Breakdown and Repair

Our gas boiler repair rates are completely transparent, no hidden charges and no nasty surprises. We do not charge a call out fee. You pay the engineers hourly rate of £75(vat free)  plus parts and/or materials. There is a minimum charge of 1 hours labour on all diagnostic and repair work. However, in the event that the job will take longer than an hour, work is charged in 15 minute increments and any additional labour, parts or materials will be invoiced separately. If it is not possible to fix on site and parts are required a return visit will be necessary. Return visits are charged at £70 per hour and we always provide a free, no obligation quote advising you of the cost for parts and labour. As part of our promise and commitment to providing a high level of customer service, engineers will never fit parts without us letting you know the costs first.

New Boiler Installation

Sometimes, in the long term, it can be more economic to have a new boiler, particularly if your current appliance is 15 years old or more. It may not be as safe and will certainly not be as efficient as a new modern one and is likely to be more expensive to run. Parts may be difficult to obtain or no longer be available. When you weigh up the inconvenience of having no heating or hot water plus the cost of repairs against the potential savings, your new boiler will pay for itself in no time - keeping you and your family safe, warm and cosy with unlimited hot water. If it is uneconomic to repair your existing appliance or you wish to upgrade your boiler we would be happy to provide a free, no obligation quote.  Please call us on 01635 226393 or contact us to discuss your requirements or to book a site visit when the engineer will be able to talk you through your available options.

Power Flushing from just £55 per radiator

If your radiators are slow at heating up and when they do heat up you are getting cold spots, your central heating system may benefit from a power flush. Over time heating systems start to corrode internally, producing black iron oxide sludge in radiators, valves and pumps. This sludge sticks to all surfaces and can cause system components to fail prematurely. The efficiency of the system will be greatly reduced and your fuel bills may rise. A power flush is an effective technique to keep your radiators working efficiently. During a power flush, water and cleaning chemicals are pumped through your radiators at high pressure which flushes out any build-up and dirt that is causing a blockage within your heating system. As well as removing sludge, a special inhibitor will be added to your system to prevent future corrosion. After flushing your heating system, you will feel the heat circulating effectively around every radiator in your home. Your central heating system will operate more efficiently, which  in turn will save you money on your heating bills. It should also prolong the life of your heating system and help prevent central heating repairs.

Thermostatic Radiator Valve installation from just £35 per radiator

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV's) sense the air temperature around them and regulate the flow of water through the radiator which they are fitted to giving you a greater degree of control over the heat levels in each room.  They should be set at a level that gives you the room temperature you want and can be set differently in each room. Once set to suit each room, they can be left to do their job. Your heating will be more balanced, you will be saving energy and your heating bills will be reduced saving you money. If you would like to book an engineer to fit Thermostatic Radiator Valves in Newbury, Thatcham or any of the surrounding areas, then please contact us.
